Physiologically the articular cartilage are constantly being destroyed and rebuilt by the body. I'senile osteoarthritis is the result of an imbalance in favor of the deterioration of the cartilaginous tissues. THE joints, unable to properly play their roles, become painful and the seat of inflammation which increases the phenomenon.

Pernacox contains natural active ingredients that have a beneficial effect on the joints:

• The Glycoaminoglycans, extracts from a New Zealand mollusc, Perna canaliculus, have been the subject of Pernannumerous studies demonstrating their anti-inflammatory activity (ANTI-COX 1&2) without adverse effect on the gastric system. These substances work synergistically to maintain the structural integrity of the cartilage and synovial fluid. This combination helps relieve and restore mobility to the joint in cases of senile and traumatic osteoarthritis.
• Harpagophytum procumbens rich in harpagosides is recognized for its anti-inflammatory activity at joint and bone levels without the disadvantages of corticosteroids and NSAIDs and can be given continuously.
• Ulmar Filipendula or Spirea is a plant known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic (painkiller) properties.
