Milbemax Tab puppies and small dogs – Dewormer – from 0,5 to 10 kg – ELANCO

Le Milbemax Tab puppies et small dogs is a vermifuge for dogs from 500 g to 10 kg. The broad spectrum vermifuge allows fight against nematodes (flat worms) and cestodes (towards round) of the dog.

Tablets Milbemax Tab puppies et small dogs are from small sizes and are beef flavored for easy application.

Milbemax Tab puppies et small dogs is indicated at the dog for the treatment of mixed infestations by the immature and adult stages of the following cestodes and nematodes:

tapeworms (flatworms): Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp, Echinococcus multilocularis
Nematodes (roundworms): Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Toxocara cati

It is advisable to deworm your dog at each change of season, three to four times a year. By following this plan, the risks of worms appearing and proliferating are minimal.

Your dog will suffer from diarrhea, constipation, stomach aches. The presence of worms can also result in vomiting. Itching can also occur in the anus.

Are dog worms contagious?

They can be for humans, which is why it is important to take the necessary steps to repel and eliminate them. If children are present in the home, it may be necessary to offer a treatment to also protect them from the worms of your animals.

Composition

For 1 tablet:

Milbemycin oxime: 2.5 mg
Praziquantel: 25mg
Excipients qsp: 125 mg

How to use

Only pat oral, during ou after lunch.

La minimum dose recommended is 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime et 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight, in a single dose.

For a small dog or puppy 500g - 1kg = 1 / 2 tablet

For little dog or puppy more 1 - 5 kg = 1 tablet

For little dog or puppy Furthermore 5 - 10 kg = 2 tablets

Precautions for use

The drug can be used in breeding dogs including pregnant or lactating bitches.

Do not administer in puppies less than 2 weeks and / or weighing less than 0,5kg and dogs under 5kg.

CAUTION ON RELATED COLLO AND RACE BREED *

Some studies have shown that the margin of safety for milbemycin oxime is lower in some dogs of the Collie breed and related breeds. For these breeds of dogs, it is recommended to strictly observe the dosage. The tolerance of the specialty has not been studied in young puppies of the Collie breed and related breeds. The clinical signs in the event of an overdose are identical in dogs of the Collie breed to those observed in other breeds of dogs (see section “Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), if necessary”).
