There are a multitude of administration methods against fleas and ticks: shampoo, pipettes, tablets, sprays and of course a collar. The collars are a means of protection and effective treatment over a significant period of 6 to 8 months depending on the products and the parasites. The collar acts as a preventive as well as a parasite. It may happen that certain products are irritating in certain animals due to allergies or sensitivity, in this case, we invite you to consult your veterinarian.
When to put on a flea collar?
Given the duration of protection of a collar, use is recommended during the most prolific periods for parasites: from spring to autumn.
How do pest control collars work?
Flea/parasitic collars release active agents throughout their coverage in powder or gas form. These agents will act either as insecticides or repellents.

Active subtances :
- Unroll and adjust the collar around the animal's neck without tightening it excessively (it is advisable to leave a space of 2 fingers between the collar and the neck).
- Pass the rest of the necklace in the loop and cut any length superfluous beyond 2 cm.
- Change the collar every 8 months.
*Laboratory studies with either flumethrin or imidacloprid in rats and rabbits have not produced any evidence of effects on fertility or reproduction, or teratogenic or fetoxic effects. However, the safety of the veterinary medicinal product has not been established in the target species during gestation and lactation and in the absence of available data, the use of the product is therefore not recommended in pregnant cats. or breastfeeding.
- Regularly check the fit of the collar, adjusting it if necessary.
- Water resistant and effective even if the animal is wet. However, intense exposure should be avoided.
- The effectiveness of the product is reduced to 7 months for fleas.

SERESTO CATS NECKLACE
Destination species: Cat
Indications: Biting lice, reduction of the risk of babesiosis, ehrlichiosis and infection with Leishmania infantum.
Contraindications: Do not treat kittens under 10 weeks old and puppies under 7 weeks old. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
