La Spirulina is a blue-green algae cultivated for its exceptional nutritional properties. It is very rich in vegetable proteins of high quality: it has between 60 and 70% (or twice as much as soy!).
It contains 8 amino acids non-essential and essential (which cannot be produced by the body): isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, valine.
La Spirulina contains many vitamins: vitamin A (beta carotene: 15 times more than carrots), group B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B12), vitamin D, Vitamin E, vitamin K,…
It is also a source of minerals,trace elements,omega 6,antioxidants, and pigments (chlorophyll (detox power), phycocyanin (stimulates the immune system, carotenoids (antioxidant), polysaccharides (easily absorbed carbohydrates without an insulin peak which normally accompanies the absorption of carbohydrates).
Sprirulina vermicelli is particularly recommended for horses in training, to horses lacking muscle mass, mares, colts et yearlings thanks to the contribution of vitamins, minerals et trace elements.
Sprirulina vermicelli can also be recommended for horses needing support from immune defenses thanks to the vitamin A and phynocyanine pigment.
