Le Strantel Dog XL offer your csweat, strong protection against flat worms (Cestodes) and the towards round (Nematodes).

Treatment of mixed infestations by nematodes and cestodes of the following species:

Nematodes
- Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late immature forms)
- Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults)
- Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adults)
tapeworms
- Tapeworms: Echinococcus spp. (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia spp., (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms)

This powerful wormer comprises Febantel, Pyrantel et praziquantel which allow in a single dose to treat infestations.

It is advisable to deworm your dog at each change of season, about three to four times a year. By following this scheme, the risks of appearance and proliferation of worms are minimal. If your dog has his habits outside the house, the risk of infestation is multiplied.

Your dog will suffer from diarrhea, constipation, stomach aches. The presence of worms can also result in vomiting. Itching can also occur in the anus.

Are dog worms contagious?

How to use

Administer only orally. The tablets should be administered as a single dose.
The tablets can be given directly to the dog or concealed in food. The animal does not need to be fasted before or after treatment.

The recommended doses are: 15 mg febantel / kg body weight, 5 mg pyrantel / kg body weight (equivalent to 14,4 mg pyrantel embonate / kg) and 5 mg praziquantel / kg body weight corresponding to 1 STRANTEL XL tablet per 35 kg body weight. To ensure administration of a correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.

Approximately 17,5 kg – ½ tablet of Strantel XL
> 31-35 kg – 1 Strantel XL tablet
> 35-40 kg – 1 tablet of Strantel XL + ½ of Strantel Dog
> 40-45 kg – 1 tablet of Strantel XL + 1 tablet of Strantel Dog
> 45-50 kg – 1 tablet of Strantel XL + 1,5 tablet of Strantel Dog
> 50-55 kg – 1 Strantel XL tablet + 2 Strantel Dog tablets
> 55-60 kg – 1 Strantel XL tablet + 2,5 Strantel Dog tablets
> 60-65 kg – 1 Strantel XL tablet + 3 Strantel Dog tablets
> 65-70 kg – 2 Strantel XL tablets

If there is a risk of re-infestation, seek advice from the veterinarian on the need and frequency of repeated administration.

Precautions for use

In animals

Parasite resistance to any class of anthelmintic may develop following frequent or repeated use of an anthelmintic of that class. To minimize the risk of re-infestation and re-infestation, faeces should be picked up and properly disposed of for 24 hours after treatment.

In the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to the animals

In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice and show the package leaflet to the physician.
