Product Description:
Tick-Puss 2,5 mg/ml – Anti fleas and ticks – 100 ml – BIOCANINA
Tick-Puss is a pest control product against fleas and ticks in the form of a fipronil-based spray.
- Treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.)
- Treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus).
- Treatment of biting lice infestations in dogs (Trichodectes canis) and cats (Felicola subrostratus).
Tick-Puss can be integrated into a therapeutic program for the treatment of Flea Bite Hypersensitivity Dermatitis (DHPP). The insecticidal efficacy against new infestations by adult fleas persists for up to 6 weeks in cats and up to 3 months in dogs, depending on the environmental context.
The duration of the acaricidal efficacy of the product is 4 weeks against ticks, depending on the environmental pressure of infestation.
What is the best flea treatment?
A dominant question because many treatments exist. There are almost as many antiparasitics as there are forms: necklace, spray, tablets, pipettes (spot-on) Or soft shampoo. Active substance: Fipronil – 2,5mg
Manual spray gun for external use only.
The gun sprays 0,5 mL (100 mL presentation) per spray.
Dosage
In order to moisten the coat down to the skin, apply 3 to 6 mL per kg of body weight (i.e. 7,5 to 15 mg of fipronil per kg of body weight), depending on the length of the hair. This dosage can be obtained by carrying out 6 to 12 sprays per kg of body weight.
According to hair length:
The 100 mL bottle can be used to treat a 4 kg cat 8 to 4 times or up to 3 times a 10 kg dog.
Do not use in sick animals (systemic illnesses, fever, etc.) or convalescents.
Do not use in rabbits as sometimes lethal side effects may occur.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
Avoid contact with the animal's eyes.
Do not spray directly on damaged skin areas.
Be sure to allow treated animals to dry in a well-ventilated room.
Do not confine animals in an enclosed space or in a pet carrier until the coat is completely dry.
Make sure animals do not lick each other after treatment.
Keep animals away from fire or any source of heat, and surfaces which may be damaged by the alcohol spray, at least for 30 minutes after spraying and until the coat is completely dry.
