Composition
Niclosamide 400,00 mg, Pyrantel (as tartrate) 28,94 mg, Excipient qsp 1 tablet 692 mg.
How to use
Orally.
Administer in one take.
100 mg of niclosamide and 7,23 mg of pyrantel per kg of body weight, orally in one administration, corresponding to 1 tablet for 4 kg of body weight.
Precautions for use
Do not administer a piperazine-based dewormer less than 24 hours apart because the actions neutralize each other.
Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.

Hello, I found a long tubular worm about 6cm long on my 4kg york dog, she is dewormed regularly every 2 or three months but continues to have worms, I have just administered 1 Ascatene Biocanina tablet to her but I thinking of waiting 2 days and giving it another one, because from what I have read the eggs hatch a few days later and again worms settle. Right wrong ??? that is my question. Cordially

you can indeed renew in 3 - 4 days if your animal still has worms but it persists it will be necessary to consult or change dewormer

For my part I can not give tablets to cats either directly in the mouth or crushed in the mash. Cats don't get fooled like that! I advise you to break the tablet in 4. Then you have to coat the pieces in a palatable paste. I recommend liver pâté for example (you can find it at Maxizoo in the form of a tube). Form 4 small balls. That's good luck!

What trick(s) to make my two cats swallow such large tablets? Can the crushed tablet be administered with water without modifying the efficacy of the treatment?

Dosage for the long term: If the cat goes outside, it is recommended to take it every three months. For an indoor cat, one dose every 6 months is sufficient. It is necessary to count 1/2 tablet per dose for a cat between 2 and 4 kilos and 1 tablet beyond. To help the setting, it is advisable to grind it and mix it with food. The mixture in water will not alter the treatment however the tablet is not very dispersible. If there are worms in the litter, there is the possibility of bringing the catch closer.

You can give acatene to your 5 month old puppy without worries, the dosage is one tablet for 4 kg.
For 9 kg 2 tablets will be enough.
