Precautions for use

In animals:

No studies have been conducted in cats that are severely debilitated or have significant renal or hepatic impairment. The product is not recommended in these cases or only after evaluation of the risk/benefit ratio by the veterinarian.
The treatment of dogs with a large number of circulating microfilariae can sometimes give rise to the appearance of hypersensitivity reactions such as: pale mucous membranes, vomiting, tremors, difficult breathing or excessive salivation. These reactions are associated with the release of proteins from dead or dying microfilariae and are not a direct toxic effect of the product. Use in dogs with microfilaraemia is therefore not recommended.
In the absence of data in cats with microfilaraemia, the product should only be used after evaluation of the benefit/risk ratio by the veterinarian.
Echinococcosis poses a danger to human beings. In the event of echinococcosis, specific protocols for the treatment, follow-up and protection of persons must be followed. It is then advisable to consult an expert or a parasitology center. If the cat has gone to an area where Echinococcus species is widespread, consult a veterinarian. In the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:
Wash hands after use. In case of accidental ingestion of tablets, especially by children, seek medical advice immediately and show the carton or package leaflet to the doctor.
